I have over 30 years marriage experience and 25 years of Marriage, Relationship, and Personal Counselling, and I am passionate about people and helping their relationships flourish. As well as being an experienced Counsellor, I am a Pastor, wife, and a mother of three.

Alongside my regular and obligatory pastoral duties, I now offer a separate Marriage, Relationship and Personal Counselling service under Treasure Counselling. The Lord has laid it upon my heart to widen my services to reach others in order to meet the growing need for counselling.

I see this service as ministry. Sure it involves counselling but the main role of this service is ministry. I am in the ministry of reconciliation as all christians are called to be partakers of.

​

2 Corinthians 5:18…All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.

​

God sent his son into this world to reconcile us back to himself, his thoughts and ways.

​

We have gone through life either using the behavioural patterns of others as our own, inherited mindsets, or by modelling ourselves on whatever is popular or trendy. We've lived with rejection, failure, abuse, self hate etc. This has sadly resulted in separation from God, who created us uniquely and knows what's best for us, a separation from who we are supposed to be close to, and ultimately a separation from ourselves. What if that stuff that is often referred to as 'baggage' could be thrown away? My ministry is not one of blame but one that promotes love.

Matthew 22:37-38…And he said to him,“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment.

Jesus came to reconcile us back to God, to others and to ourselves. I am called to serve in this area of brokenness for many in order to restore them back to the love of God, love for others, and love for themselves.

 

Whenever anyone is reconciled back to God and relationships are restored with others and themselves, healing for the mind, soul and body begins to happen. I believe this wholeheartedly and I have witnessed this to be the truth.

 

I want to see marriages healed, broken hearts mended and relationships restored. This to me is 'treasure'.
